Guardiola confirms intention to stay at City for next two years P123

Why not support a proper Turin club with strong bonds to Man City? A team like Torino springs to mind that way you won’t have all the heartache of having Sarri (whom I quite like and admire) as your coach next year

Ahah no thanks. Torino's fans have their own heartaches during the season. As for why I support Juve; family influence and falling for some performances, you know how it is.

Why would we want pooch ? IF Pep did leave then wouldn't Arteta be in line for manager ? Why would we want a CL failure as a manager ? (Just trying to prove myself wrong) c'mon you spuds !!!!!

He'd be much better coach for the group of players you have there and tactics they are used to.

I assure you we would love to have him at Juve. The problem is there are absolutely 0 rumours regarding him.

i have it on good authority Pep, will see the dippers hammer Spurs tonight immediately declare that we are playing for second place next season Giving the board no alternative but to release him from his contract

yeah, he looks like he bought into scousers cult culture, he likes it there. but the real truth is you won't get any of them two this summer. In two years maybe, the amount of rumors about Guardiola suggest there might be some contacts. But this summer not a blip of hope.

And I'd like if you would lure Klopp there, hehe

You say a year might be wasted under Sarri, which I agree, Pep won nothing whilst changing the team in year one.
Klopp has a couple of champs league finals plus and the media think he is the best manager around.
I think his contract is 2022 and can speak menu Italian. Didn't rule out a move earlier in the year.
If it's another loss tonight he may pack his bags!

First of all, thank you for your considerate reply.

Is it a possibility? Of course it is, just one that will anger most fans and that will detract a bit from Juve's commercial image. Moreover, Sarri usually needs time to model a team to his needs to really achieve big wins (this year he arrived 3rd with Chelsea and struggled a bit); Juve still has Allegri's tactical imprint, which is very different from Sarri's, and they usually want wins and results as soon as possible. Ronaldo also isn't superhuman, wasting one season of his last years just to wait for the right coach seems a bit careless.

Thanks. I do see the argument against taking Sarri in that kind of role. And though we had a brilliant first season under Pellegrini, we did stagnate in the two subsequent years, meaning that Pep didn't hit the ground running in his first season because there was a lot of sorting out to do. These last two seasons have been worth the wait, though! :)

Seems like various journalists and supporters have confused attempts to lure Guardiola with success. There is little doubt that they have tried. And perhaps this demonstrates the arrogance of a club that usually gets what it wants. But it is 100% not happening because Pep has said on multiple occasions and in the most unambiguous way that it isn’t happening. Frankly, inventing stories isn’t going to help their recruitment efforts.

My thinking is that Arteta might not be ready yet and would benefit from learning from the master for a couple more years before he's ready for the top job. So if we were looking now or even next year, I'd personally be going for an external candidate. I just think Pochettino is the best who might realistically be available right now.

Anyway, I think - and fervently hope - that it isn't going to be an issue for us.
