Guardiola considering restoring Toure to CL squad

We need legs and work rate against the top teams, I would only see him as an impact sub.

Navas' spot possibly? Only one I can see leaving in January to go back to Sevilla for Gabriel Jesus arrival.

Presumably Gabriel Jesus will take that slot?
Depends exactly when GJ will be judged ready to get involved after his break following the end of the Brazilian season, maybe Pep would just keep him for the PL where he wouldn't take up a squad place being U-21.

Has anyone checked our CL record when Toure starts. It's piss poor, better off as an impact player in the Prem.

Don't think Navas will leave until the summer, but if we were to include Toure in the CL squad then I think Navas or Sane would be most at risk, barring injury elsewhere.

Can't see Sané being dropped at his age, would shatter his confidence.

In my humble opinion that would be a step too far. Seluk would have a field day at City's expense & it would undo all the work that has been done in controlling egos!! (Not necessarily Toure's ego but definitely Seluk)

I'm struggling to remember the last time he made a big contribution in the CL for us, if he ever really has. I don't think for one second he would have got two goals and put in the performance that Gundogan did against Barca.

Yaya is more suited to the tricky PL away games like Saturday.
