Makes perfect sense. If there is something the team is missing it's goal scorers and as Yaya proved on Sat when given a chance he knows where the goal is.

I'm struggling to remember the last time he made a big contribution in the CL for us, if he ever really has. I don't think for one second he would have got two goals and put in the performance that Gundogan did against Barca.

Yaya is more suited to the tricky PL away games like Saturday.

I remember him scoring a quality goal in Madrid that should of won us the game :/

Irrespective of the reasons for his recent non selection, seems he may very well be off anyway so is it similar to the Frank Lampard situation.
Frank was invaluable to us and lets be fair at least he puts chances away which has been our main problem in the PL recently-

Its alright saying that our strikers are having a collective bad time but we need players (any position) who know how to first of all hit the target and secondly score from those on target chances until the positional stars start being fit for purpose.

Surprised at all this fuss. We put out a MP team & then played like one - got lucky with a couple of goals.

On the link I watched late in the second half they flashed up players stats e.g. sprints made & speed & running time. Yaya had a couple of sprints but the interesting one was how much time he spent running, this was 29.1 %. Not sure of the veracity of these stats but it figures that for over 70 % of his time on the pitch he was either stopped or walking.

Too right!
As things stand, we could top the group, we could finish third or we could finish in an extremely unlikely 4th spot, but we are most likely to finish second. But with City anything is possible!

It's possible, we'd have to switch out one of Caballero/Gunn, Zaba/Maffeo or Navas/Angelino though.
