Guardiola documentary - SS1

Wow, just wow, what a brilliant insight into the man himself. If I wasn't convinced before ( I was really but let's just say I wasn't) , I most certainly am now that the plans and desire of our club to get pep , are the best laid plans that have ever been put in place. We will succeed , and pep is the man to make it happen . It will be a joy to watch and a pleasure to be part of.

5. Swinpigshagger and his cohorts at RagMunich Utd leading a revolt to play the old way and getting smashed. No wonder he was shipped out to RagSalford utd.

We were beaten in this match by two set-pieces very early in the match in addition to an away goal because of a failed tactics in the first leg... - the problem we had in all CL away matches with Pep who liked to play a 4-3-3 there that never brought any goals for us of wingers or strikers in all three years...

I do not like how this Real match is pinned on this tactical change (especially when the main important change should have been to take one of Kroos/Schweinsteiger out and get Martinez into the defensive midfield - in addition to making the offense more dangerous with the 4-2-3-1). Bayern in 4-3-3 with a Kroos/Schweinsteiger/Lahm midfield was even with Heynckes a toothless weapon in which neither of the winger nor the striker functioned. And even if Kroos until now learned a little bit more about defense - atleast in his Bayern time against serious opponents a defensive midfield with Kroos and Schweinsteiger was a liability...

In my eyes his 4-3-3 approach was not the solution either. A lot other matches showed that we caught the same amount of goals but were toothless in offense with it.

Great documentary. Regardless of whether we win trophies, one things for certain, we're gonna have some fun over the next three years!

One thing is for sure.... He will never do it again (meaning Pep will never bow to player pressure again)

Just that the player pressure was not the reason for failing but Pep's mistake in the first leg. In hindsight he blamed it onto the players - but if you look into the match the problem was the gameplay and the away goal. In the match in Madrid Bayern was totally toothless and we could have caught more than the one goal against. That was totally on Pep's tactics.

In the following home match we caught a set-piece goal early in the match - what made the tie a 2:0 with Bayern at home having to score atleast another 3 goals without conceding to go further after some minutes. Against a Real team that has its strength in counter attacking...

It was one of the first CL away matches with Pep - in the home matches we usually had to play really in attacking formation as the away matches never were fruitful. And then we usually were successful - against the smaller opponents than Real, Barca or Atletico.
