Anyone else glad about this news? Or am I on my own?

We should all be very happy because he lacks experience. He might do well but I'd rather someone else took the gamble
This is exactly my thinking, I have always been unsure that he could replicate what he did at Barca elsewhere, I think the risk is to great, time will tell
I think Guardiola has chosen Bayern because they have a 10 year youth academy already in place and work similar to Barca bringing through young players to the senior team. Ours isn't established yet and I think that was a deciding factor.

It's not a situation we have to rush with guardiola, let him cut his teeth elsewhere and we will grow also into a football powerhouse. If we took the gamble now and got it wrong the damage could take ages to fix.

Anyway Mancini is our man

Never coming here, why would we have sounded out Rudi Bommer if this was in the pipeline.

Very surprised really Pep seemed the perfect choice with the new academy being built plus two ex barce guys recently appointed. What could have happened is Pep wanted to 100% certain for the job so he can plan for it, at the moment there is still a chance we could end up with the double and it would have been very difficult to sack Mancini then. Will be interesting to see what happens if we fail to win the league as I cant see Mancini staying in the job if that happens.
I bet that's exactly what happened.

I was sure about that when Sun launched an info from a source that was 100% sure that Guardiola is going to City. :D

I like Pep but I really wanted Bobby to stay and now he's in a pole position I guess. Will Txiki and co risk Mourinho?

Risk Mourinho?

Why not just stick with the wonderful manager we currently have in Mancini

Mancini has started to build a dynasty here, OK this year has been a bit of shocker with the talent we have at our disposable, especially in Europe - but let's not become like Chelsea who sack a manager after a poor season!

Believe in Mancini!

If This is the case it makes sense from his point of view, it will be a long time before we see the benefit from our new academy
