Guardiola hints to his future extending at City

Some wanted jose.....though they'll never admit it now.

I'm sure they would,at the time he was a cvnt, but he was a cvnt who knew how to win......he was the genuine article, and not the unimaginative/predictable shit show he has since become.

I would imagine that our leadership have plans in place for the succession. It would be madness to build a club entirely around one man as recent history has shown us. Pep will go and we need to be ready for it.

lets have him for another 20 years at city and then he can manage England to the world cup.

Trophies, trophies, trophies....

If we want Pep to stay, we ARE going to have to win the CL this season or next!
If we do win it, perhaps he will feel he has achieved everything and will give us to 2021 and then go off into the sunset.

Definitely, Pep will be involved in picking his replacement and I reckon we will listen unlike Bayern who went off on their own accord because the directors can't agree.

Arteta of course will be favourite but the managers available will look very different in 2021.

I find it smirk worthy that Utd have provided us with a template of what not to do. When we do transition it seems we are well set to carry on as we were. I would laugh if in a few years Khaldoon said something like "well, we looked at utd and everything they did wrong and learned from their mistakes".

For me the reason he stays beyond his already extended contract is the fact the team has many years together.

These players ain't signing long term if Pep ain't going to be around.

6 years would be nice let's see if we manage to pull off the signings of FDJ & MDL

Those 2 would give City the chance to build somthing huge & Pep would be a legend.
That’s the thing isn’t it?

Ederson Laporte Stones Mendy Bernardo Foden Sané Sterling and Jesus and whoever Fernandinho’s long term replacement will be; are all 24 year’s old and younger

You’d think he’d want to see them all well into their prime and see what we really could do with this squad!

Surely we gave them our template from the old days of what not to do.lol

It would be better if he called them the rags.

If his methods continue to work at City, I recon anyone who tries to tempt him away will find it difficult. If his magic wears off, he will see it quickly & leave. He likes to live in different places, but he has a lifetime after football, to do that. He can get to anywhere in the world pretty quickly from here, for a quick visit, as can his family.

And so far as international football is concerned, then if he stays true to his word, it would have to be Spain or an independant Catalonia. If you look at the Spanish football authorities increased hostility toward City since Pep started being successful, I think it will be a cold day in hell when they offer him the national job.

If he struggled here for a couple of seasons, it would probably give him itchy feet, or if he didn't see a challenge. But the way things are looking now, it would appear that there is more likelihood of Pep staying beyond his current contract, than not. Especially if the ground is being enlarged etc.

He has the chance to become our Cruyff & that must surely appeal to him, no matter what he admits in public.
