Seems bizarre to me that we haven't been linked to any players at our positions of weakness...fullbacks, winger/Navas replacement, backup striker. Hopefully we're still interested in Sane.

to narrow for me that mate and with merlin and the ginger prince next exactly busting to get back and defend a lot gundogan and dinho would get blitzed in midfield!!

The problem with adding width (which I don't disagree with) is that you then have to swap out some players in exchange for wide players - and the two wide players we currently have (Navas and Sterling) offer even less defensively, and don't really have much creativity between them.
It's largely why I really think we need some seriously capable DM's who can get forward / wide when needed. As it currently stands.
Seems to me we just have no real steel in midfield - most of our 'notional' midfielders are lightweight creative players or lightweight speed merchants.

That would be a great squad and you could be close. However, can't see us buying both laporte and Stones and would be very surprised if we keep both right fulls.

Realistic and quite good. Switch Isco for Cutihno and you have a proper team. Then add Laporte.
