Guidetti (at Celtic)

Celtic are looking at doing a January deal :- http://www1.skysports.com/football/...to-sign-john-guidetti-on-a-permanent-contract
I'm guessing they know that if they don't they've lost him regardless at the end of the season presuming he continues his form.
As long as we insist on a good percentage of sell on since it looks like he won't be coming back here.

While much improved,he was never going to come back here, even if his ability reaches a level whereby he's capable of that 4th spot, his ego and hunger to play would not allow such.

He wants first team football, and i think he needs and deserves it.

Just watched the match from yesterday, admittedly it's a poor league but I'm pretty sure Guidetti can justifiably become our 4th striker next year, this loan has done him the world of good in terms of fitness, sharpness and self belief. Either that or if we're going to sell him, we should be looking for at least £10m.

Denayer growing in stature with every game as well.
Pretty sure he's leaving on a free at the end of the year

Well then we should be giving him an extension.

We'll sell him for a smallish fee, probably in the £1m range, in January, to Celtic, I suspect. He's never going to be good enough to make any real difference at City.

Hopefully a smallish fee with lots of strings attached,

I think they're free to talk to him in January. 'Foreign' clubs can discuss free transfers with 6 months left on the contract. We'd be eligible for a tribunal fee though.

I don't think we're looking at a 1m fee, i think we are looking at a 20-25% sell-on clause.

That Stoke loan was an uber fuck up for all concerned.

Had he then gone to a club, like Celtic, where he could have regained his confidence,he'd have still had 12months on his contract and we'd be looking at holding some cards in the situation.

I'm not sure Celtic is a good choice though,i'd suggest he could do better for himself than the SPL.

What should've been said to the person that made the uber?

For all who think he's not good enough for the Squad let's cast our minds back to what MP said when he met him 13:23 in the link..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RnL_G8BGuA

But by now he probably had a real look at him, and don't think he'll cut it. + Theres a whole lot of difference between being first striker here and at Malaga.[/quote]

1) He was just getting his fitness back when MP arrived so what he saw of him was the back end of a season warming the bench at Stoke great real look at him that was. The loan to Stoke was a complete Joke IMHO loaning him to them after how that Feckin Idiot treated Sturridge whilst he was at our club.
2) Who said first striker we are short up front or haven't you noticed, ideal for giving the regular two a break wouldn't you say.

Answer to your quote I Highlighted, the link and result says it all..
