Exactly this. This is his first full season for a couple of years and the lad always wants to do his best wherever he plays. I'd love to see him given a proper chance to prove himself with City.
Hughes was never going to do us any favours so he suffered at Stoke, and that coming after a season and a half out which nearly ended his career because of that virus. He's got a big heart and, judging by his comments, always wants to do his best for the fans. I'm sure he must google himself and see some of the stuff on here and think "why do I bother with City?" I guess we'll know if he signs that rumoured contract extension if he sees his future with us or not.
