Guidetti (at Celtic)

Fans on here saying oh he's not good enough well let's give him a chance in a team that will give him more opportunities to score before we say he isn't good enough!

Exactly this. This is his first full season for a couple of years and the lad always wants to do his best wherever he plays. I'd love to see him given a proper chance to prove himself with City.

Hughes was never going to do us any favours so he suffered at Stoke, and that coming after a season and a half out which nearly ended his career because of that virus. He's got a big heart and, judging by his comments, always wants to do his best for the fans. I'm sure he must google himself and see some of the stuff on here and think "why do I bother with City?" I guess we'll know if he signs that rumoured contract extension if he sees his future with us or not.

Think he will be able to differentiate between people who have watched him play and see him for what he is and Marwoods Shills..
 
Guidetti will never be good enough for City.

If he's smart he'll take his free transfer status and find a good club. City only want to tie him down so that they can protect the investment and sell him on for a good fee.

Nice to see him doing well and Scotland will toughen him up given some of the cloggers he'll be up against.

This might just be the lick start he needs.

Still early days of course but would be interested to see how he'd do in the Prem with a good run of games.

Too injury prone to even consider as a squad player..I'm sure him and the club will be happy to part company this summer

He's not injury prone tho is he ? He is coming back from a freak career threatening injury .don't forget the current starting 11 has kompany jocovic and kun .all 10 games a season out.then add Richards and Rodwell from last season and with the sale of negrado you wonder why he's not been given a go as 4 the cholce striker
 
He got another yesterday,and,while the league isn't a great standard......his tally is impressive.He obviously thrives on confidence and,along with his fitness,it looks like he has regained it.
 
Celtic claim a fee was agreed with Manchester City for John Guidetti prior to them taking the striker on loan.


The Scottish Premiership champions hope those talks will prove beneficial, with the Sweden international having become a much sought-after commodity.

Guidetti has netted 10 times in 11 domestic appearances this season to draw admiring glances from afar.

Despite being untested in the Premier League, following a forgettable loan spell at Stoke City last season, a return to England in January has been mooted for the 22-year-old.

Celtic are, however, understandably keen to keep the in-form frontman at Parkhead.

Manager Ronny Deila intends to address the issue when the transfer window re-opens, with it important to move quickly if a previous deal with Guidetti’s parent club is to be honoured.

He said in the Daily Record: “With every player we bring in on loan we try to have an option to buy.

“That’s why we know what it will cost.

“It could be harder at the end of the season. This decision has to be taken before that.

“He should stay here. He will develop and achieve big things. This is the right club for him, especially at the age he is now.”

Injury prone? errr no.

Still its likely in our best interests to let him go in January for a small fee but a decent chunk of any future transfer fees. He pretty much holds all the cards, hopefully his form means someone wants to tie him down in jan rather than potentially loose a bidding war for him in the summer. Celtic makes a decent profit on players in the long run, reckon that's where we could make some money off him.

I'd give him a chance as a squad player if the contract was longer
 
He's been here 6? years..... and not once has he come close to being a first team regular.There are many reasons for that,however,i'd like to offer fate as another......with everything that has happened to him,it seems John was never destined to play for us.

Get the fee,wish him well,hope for a sell on......and move on.

After the sale of the Beast this fee agreed would've been, I'm thinking?
Two players for every position? Wanted him on loan whilst he was Manager at Malaga? Gives youth a chance in the first team? makes me think WTF is going on..
Says all I need to know about the running of the club, if said claim is true.. Emyr Huws, now this, makes me wonder if the Denayer, Lopes, and other loanees have a fee agreed already..
If it's true? F all I can do but say to myself like most on here just say..
