Is he ever going to get a break??
--------------------------------------------
Less than a week after signing a loan deal with Celtic, John Guidetti‘s debut may be in doubt after he went down with a foot injury in Sweden Under-21 training.

Swedish website DN.Sport broke the news today and it’s bound to worry Hoops fans who are looking for the Manchester City striker to kick-start their season.

Guidetti, 22, is on national duty with the Sweden Under-21 side and is understood to have picked up the injury during training today.

They are set to face Turkey in a qualifier on Tuesday but the striker’s place in that game looks in serious doubt.

He scored a stunning free-kick in Sweden’s 3-0 win over Greece on Friday night.

Aren't U-21 sides allowed to field a limited number of ''over-age'' players?
Not internationally, though if you're 21 or under at the time qualification for a particular tournament starts you're eligible until that tournament finishes

You only have to be under 21 at the start of the qualifying for that competition, so you can be about 23 by the time the actual tournament starts. Otherwise most of the players who helped you qualify across a couple of years wouldn't be allowed to play in the actual tournament.

Fair enough; thanks for clearing that up.

Internationals should be scrapped.
Fooks me off that our players are forever getting injured on internationals and then we suffer for it.

He's 22 years old now right? He should be in the first team surely by now if he is good enough? I dont understand why we keep sending him out on loan
