Guidetti Unsettled At Stoke

Mancini didn't rate him and neither does pellers. I don't buy this long term injury malarkey restricting his chances at city either. It's coming up to six years since he signed. The wait has gone on far to long. Not going to happen I'm afraid.

I was thinking the same

(from what I thought I heard)

Seems to me he is marginal, i.e. might possibly make it at PL level, might not. His Dutch triumph is in the past, and came before a long lay-off, meaning he's got a lot to prove.

Whatever the reason Stoke was chosen, he should get his head down and grab his chance when it comes. Hughes won't like being dissed in public any more than the next manager.

No it's correct.

Those who think Guidetti will make it as a Premier League footballer are deluded.

ok lets look at your post:

1) Mancini didn't rate him? Read that interview a couple of pages back, which recalls how Mancini fought to bring Guidetti 'back' to the club after he signed a pre contract with FC Twente (which I had forgotten about until I read that)

2) Pellegrini doesn't rate him? He enquired after him at Malaga, and even says this to John when he meets him on his first tour round Carrington (watch the city tv video)

3) You don't believe that a debilitating leg injury prevented him from being able to play Premier League football? Ok...

4) Yes he's been he about 6 years now, but when he came he was 16 and was hardly going to start playing for the first team then was he? Of those 6 years he's only been good enough/warranted a place since his Feyenoord loan, but he hasn't been able to play since then.

For the record, I don't think he'll make it at city, but there's no excuse for mistake-ridden posts such as yours which are not helpful to anybody !

Just because Pelligrini rated him a few years back for a different league and a different level to where we are and where we are heading doesn't mean he is the player City need right now. The answer should be clearer towards the end of the season.

I just dont see the situation where we sell one of the current strikers Dzeko most likely as he is headig towards his end of contract and then we dont go out to sign a proven goalscorer but give Guidetti the 4th choice role and we will be delighted to have an Aguero, Negredo, Jovetic, Gudetti strikeforce.

It only could happen maybe next season as long as Guidetti has a similar loan time at a PL club like he did at Feyenoord. For me Guidetti is good talent but not sure for City level. He should do what Lukaku did at WBA or at Everton on loan or what Benteke did last season. Thats when he becomes a top talent with potential to be a great striker in PL.

Shame ha had that 1.5 year without any football that set him back a lot, in that time he actually could improve a lot instad he probably went back and lost his sharpness, fitness, form, some of the skills etc...

If he hadnt been injured after his great season at Feyenoord he still would really have a lot of playing time for City with Agüero/Dzeko/Balo/Tevez ahead of him that is clear...

Thank christ I found this thread!!!

I normally head towards the 'Dzeko thread' for my daily hate of something blue, but recently that's become all powder puff due to Edin's form. So you could lmagine after a full day at work with frustrations over flowing and NO dog to kick just how pleasing it is to find this thread.

Let the hate and bullshit begin boys, don't let me down.

Oh and for all those people who don't quite believe in hate yet well there's good news on the horizon, as ric is thinking of having a frustration forum where you can learn how to diss, pull apart and dislike a player(s) in 3 easy steps.......well done ric!!!

That Guddetti bloke, he's shit for his a 28 year old and just coz its his first game back after having both his legs amputated I still expected an hatrick the lazy tw×t...........phew, that's much better!!

I agree, what a twat. Sadly it's not quite the same as Dzeko as we have no Swedish people defending him and casual racism from some bluemooners. Still, its the best we've got, the twat.

On a more serious note, Lets see if this percieved arrogance (I haven't seen the interview first hand, nor do I speak Swedish meaning something may be lost in the translation) can be backed up by skill on the pitch.

Exactly. Pellegrini obviously doesn't rate him in the current situation otherwise he would have been in Cup Squads at the very least.

Guidetti has never been that great even in the academy, never got the obsession with him at all.

I've got a Swedish work-mate who rates him, I'll try and recruit him, he knows the score as I've shown him the Dzeko thread. ;)
