Not taking the piss out of anyone but I've just put ITV4 +1 on and it's Spinal Tap. It's right at the point with:

"Can you hear that? The sustain..."

Seemed appropriate :D

I just love the whole look of them and always favoured the sound of the tele over other guitars.

Thinking about it I'm a bit of a Fender fan boy although I've always loved the look/sound of the vintage Vox guitars but never owned one.

If money were no object I'd own so many Fenders that it'd be sickening!

I think it's as much a case as sticking to what you know to be honest, the necks especially.

I can't really judge, I posted a pic and it's sideways...!

I'm in the middle of moving back in with a few mates so moving closer to Manchester city centre in the next few weeks. In the process of putting remnants of my old band together too but beyond that when I have some time we can look into it. Everything is in storage at the moment except my pedals, I was contemplating starting a pedal thread.

When I was about 21, I bought a Boss Digital Delay. What a waste of money! In the right hands it is probably a nice piece of kit, but in my grubby mits? I may as well have strapped a banana to my prac amp for all the good it did me! Talk about getting ideas above my station :D

looking to get a guitar but can anybody recomend a decent one for a beginner gonna get round to it and learn as its somthing i have wanted to do for years

You really need to get out there and try a few different guitars to be honest.

There's no such thing as the perfect guitar and expensive isn't always the right way to go depending on what sounds you're looking for.

Also guitar necks can differ quite a lot so you really need to get your hands on some to know exactly what you're looking for.

Get a cheap acoustic and practice on that, if you take to it then upgrade, if not you've not wasted much.

I had one just like that but I swapped it for a custom Tele.

Still not sure if I did the right thing.

The reissues are shit. The strings don't stay saddled.

Just speaking from my experience.

Boss tu3 tuner - Dunlop wah - Rothwell hellbender overdrive - North effects green Russian muff - Electroharmonix flanger - Line 6 DL4 delay - Vox AC 15 CC 1

I've also got a big knob (fnar) fuzz barn coming in the post this week.
