If money were no object I'd own so many Fenders that it'd be sickening!

I think it's as much a case as sticking to what you know to be honest, the necks especially.

I can't really judge, I posted a pic and it's sideways...!

Fancy a jam sometime? Always up for a bit of travelling (to wherever you are)

Don't do it TMQ. This is like when that nutter on Scilence of the Lambs asks the fat bird to help him push the sofa into the van.

Ha ha. Shhhhhh....

I have the older Biyang reverb in the larger, silver case. Very nice pedal, great value for money, and a decent range of verbs.

Can you get a good sounding saturation ala shoegaze?

I was looking at the cathederal electro harmonix but it's £150. I've spent far to much money already this year on gear!

Reverb goes much, much deeper than I find usable, so I assume yes, but maybe some YT demos will be a better reference than me. I use just a little shadow to fill out the sound, nothing huge or washy. If you want massive waves of spring, the Boss Fender Dual Reverb pedal FDR-1 is ridiculous for this. Not a great pedal, though, for much else, so be warned.
Btw, the Biyang eats batteries - even when unplugged - quicker than anything I have ever seen, so use a power supply.

As a mainly acoustic player ny pedals are pretty simple, but effective. A multi fx box, DI to boost the signal and to eq the pickup and a tuner.

Cheers. I'll give it a go. I've listened to YouTube vids of it but no one has played that style with it. My space echo takes 4 AA's and they lasted about 4 hours.. So I know what you mean.

A cathedral will be my next purchase. The reverb in my Vox is pretty weak.

Without a doubt the best pedal I have ever owned. I'd invariably find it hooked up to someone else's rig; the biggest problem with shared practice space.

Seriously, if you have the chance to use one, do so. You will never turn it off.

Distortion - Rarely use it much these days, probably sell it soon if anyone's interested, mine's a newer one so not considered as great or collectible as the older models and apparently not as good.

Flange - It's not subtle, I'm the only person I know who likes this pedal.

Reverb - Only really use it these days when I use my old amp which has no built in reverb.

Delay/Echo/Loop - Pain in the arse to learn how to operate but the delay/echo can get pretty heavy/weird/psychedelic once you know what you're doing. The loop pedal isn't as good as the boss ones but works fine, just awkward to learn to use compared to the one pedal on the boss.

My pride and joy. Replicates all the old Vox guitar built in effects, bought it from a mate who had just been sent a newer model, they only make them to order at the moment but apparently they'll soon be available using digital modelling tech as opposed to whatever these use.

I have on occasion taken this pedal to bed and left it on the pillow while I sleep.

All these pics are stock pics not my own as most of my shit is in storage at the moment.

Also got a few of the cheap Danelectro pedals somewhere, the tremolo one is great and the EQ too but the others can be quite poor.

Aphex, if I get the chance I will do a little mp3 demo and post it for you this week, if that would help?

Here's my pedals: Biyang reverb, Ethos Overdrive, GGG kit of a Marshall Bluesbreaker, Joyo tremolo, MXR Micro-Amp boost, Dan Electro Cool Cat OD.
pedalss.jpg

The Biyang is a good, cheap reverb.
The Ethos is by far the greatest thing in a box I have heard. It should be at $500 used, too. It's a Dumble clone with a clean boost and a speaker sim for DI recording (brilliant).
The Blues Breaker is great for low drive which doesn't colour the amp sound.
The Joyo is meh, but filthy cheap.
The MXR does what it is supposed to as well as you can expect. Just makes it louder.
The Dan Electro is a clone of the Fulltone OCD but 45 times cheaper, one of the early ones they stopped making. There's lots under the hood on this one.

How do you like my new floor? Not bad for a first try?
