I'll give you my two pennies worth, I've had pretty much every guitar and Bass known to man since I was 18, I've had custom shop stratocasters and many Gibson's, Ricks, I've had cheap guitars like squires etc etc... in my opinion does there's not that much difference except build quality, and you really only need that if you are touring and doing shitloads of gigs, if you are just playing at home for a hobby kind of thing I wouldn't spend that much on a guitar, there's plenty of choice a hell of a lot cheaper than that that is absolutely good enough for playing at home.Hello blue guitar lovers, so after a many years of dreaming of being able to afford an “expensive” guitar I’m in a position I can - just to define expensive to me £2k-ish but as I sit browsing; the tight ass northerner in me keeps saying “is the difference between a decent cheaper guitar going to be worth it and noticeable to a mid 40s bloke who plays as a hobby in his home office (but have been playing for 30 years”.
So I request your opinions on if I go expensive guitar shopping. And more leaning towards throwing the money at an acoustic rather than an electric guitar.
I certainly wouldn't buy a Fender after the way they have behaved. Nasty company.
My tip would be to buy a Yamaha, they make brilliant guitars that's a fraction of the cost of USA Gibson's or Fenders.
