Can't fault the advice you've been given so far, but what I will say is don't pay for anything unless you can have a go on it first. My advice would be shop around with someone who knows the score to check for neck warp and such. Also, dont be romanced into going in feet first and buying something iconic like a Fender or a Gibbo, the name means nothing if its a dud, trust me.
