That is why a league isn't judged on current form. Arsenal havn't finished above us in a long time. They are only 5 points ahead of us (if they win their game in hand) with some difficult fixtures to come. If you think Silva can't get into their XI you are deluded. The only player I'd take from Arsenal into our team is Sanchez. Maybe Koscielny at a stretch. There is a reason we challenge for the BPL and they havn't, as the league isn't won based on current form.

Current form (past 5 games) Silva doesn't play ahead of Cazorla, Ramsey, Ozil or Sanchez.

We've had the upper hand on Arsenal for the past 4 years, but we are now in decline, while they have an abundance of talent throughout the squad. Navas starts for us on a regular basis.....enough said.

Arsenal are a new manager away from a league title, and with both Klopp and Guardiola seemingly having identified them as their ideal English destination, it could be a very interesting few years ahead for them.
does .A. stand for arsenal or arsehole ?
Don't know but he certainly talks out of one of them and doesn't have a single fuckin clue what he's on about !

A bit like everyone else on this thread. Suppose it's a more fun topic to argue over who's best behind Chavs than about City deciding not to bother defending their title or Arsenal not mounting a challenge at all.

Anyway Stan Collymore's favourite player would be a great player to add to any top 4 squads but hasn't he been plagued by injuries the last few seasons ?

ManCity, ManUtd and #FCB are interested in Ilkay #Gündogan, but they're all in doubt about him due to injuries, according to "SportBild".

Gundogan is class, but he is a gamble due to his injury record.

I am honestly surprised none of the bigger sides haven't been linked with Pjanic, he practically does the same job as Fabregas/Gundogan/Kroos etc. Excellent passer of the ball. I wouldn't mind him at City either.

Man United and Arsenal target Ilkay Gundogan PASSES medical at BarcelonaBORUSSIA DORTMUND midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has reportedly passed a medical at Barcelona.

By JAMES CAMBRIDGE

The German international is believed to have agreed pre-contract terms with the Catalan side, and is seen as a long-term replacement for Xavi.

Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo claim the medical went well and an agreement has been made to sign Gundogan in the summer of 2016.

Barcelona are currently under a transfer embargo and cannot sign any players this summer or in January 2016.

The news will come as a blow for Manchester United and Arsenal who have both been linked with the midfield man

However, the La Liga champions were known to be interested in Gundogan and backed out of a deal in 2014 over injury concerns.

But this time their fears over the midfielder's fitness are believed to have been allayed and they will press ahead with the move.

Manchester United are set to follow up the signing of Memphis Depay by finalising a deal for Ilkay Gundogan, Football Insider sources understand.

United are closing in on Gundogan as they bid to make a second major signing before the transfer window formally opens next month.

As reported by Football Insider, United have agreed a deal in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the 24-year-old midfielder to move to Old Trafford this summer for a fee of £21.5million.

Now United want Gundogan to show his commitment to the deal by tying him down to a contract.

If Barcelona really do want to sign him then I can't see him being too keen on Old Toilet. Best team in the world or the 3rd best team in the North of England?

We haven't been seriously linked in a while so let's hope that Barca link was solid.

He's going to Bayern or Barca. He isn't going to rags anyways. 17m £ is a something we should have gone for too, using Dzeko as well
