Why is it crucial? With a manager who can actually instill some sort of strategy into our defence and first few phases of midfield then our current midfielders are capable. Gundogan coming in will add a World Class level to it. I do agree though if there is a top CM available id take them, someone young like Weigl, Dahoud or maybe Pogba.

Would you be happy with going into the season with Fernandinho , Fernando and Delph as our CM's ? It's been one of our biggest weaknesses and we can't go into the season without strengthing

Great signing for the price people worrying about his injury need to trust pep on this he will have been well informed over his injuries and must be confident that it will not have a lasting effect on his city's carer and at 19m it's not even a gambe! Want to see another 2 center mids in kroos and thiago would do nicley think it will be 1 though more likely kroos!

Can't help but think those bemoaning the price because of his injury are thinking too much in the short term. He's only 25, so we could get 6/7 years out of him. Not many centre mids of that calibre who are available, and certainly not for under £20m.
