Only 3 between trophies surprisingly, and one of them only lasted 33 days, not even as long as Coppell. {edit} Actually the same length as Coppell.Neville Kneville said:How many popes did we see off ?

shackattack said:for me personally today was typical of how everton and moyes are. no disrespect to city but i would sooner we beat wigan last week than any victory today. sadly today will just paper over the cracks again and most lads i sat with today would still like to see the back of moyes.cleavers said:And you're only 1 pope behind arsenal :)Neville Kneville said:Fair play ;)
we never have turned up for the big games under moyes. what annoys me is he stalls on a contract in the hope that someone else comes in for him in the summer. if not, he signs and kenwright is happy as he has a manager who never challenges him.Chrisja1000 said:We were beaten by the better side today no arguments about it. If I was an Everton fan I would honestly feel cheated that my team could only turn up for the big games. Seeing their fans and more concerning their hypocritical manager celebrating like that was cringeworthy and smalltime.
I really think David Moyes needs to sign that contract as the club and fans are a match made in heaven!!

Of course we understand that, and its no disrespect at all, we'd expect any true football fan to want to win an FA Cup quarter final, ahead of three points in a league game, unless it was three points to win the league or keep you up obviously.shackattack said:for me personally today was typical of how everton and moyes are. no disrespect to city but i would sooner we beat wigan last week than any victory today. sadly today will just paper over the cracks again and most lads i sat with today would still like to see the back of moyes.

cleavers said:Yes there is a manc/scouse thing, but I think you miss the point completely. everton are in many ways one of the "good clubs" as you put it, as are arsenal, and a number of others, but a couple of relegations might do them all some good, give them a little perspective of how we now see our club, yes we got lucky and won the lottery, but not one of these sets of fans would turn it down if they were lucky enough, and they know it.matty barton said:It must be a Manc v Scouse thing I don't understand, but to me as a football fan Everton are one of the ''good'' clubs.
So its funny to see celebrations like this from fans of clubs, who then come on here and start saying we're a "shitty little club" with "no history", but these folk are mostly a bunch of bellends on the internet, and not wholly representative of all their fanbase.

We treat you like any other top 6/7 team coming to Goodison and we put more effort in to win hence why we've generally got a better record against the top teams than the lower teams.
You're a shit little club who got lucky by being taken over, if it hadn't of been for that you'd be scrapping around in the Championship or lower by now, always remember that.
most of our fans don't and i know that sounds hypocritical after today !! but, under moyes we have never won at anfield, arsenal , united or chelsea in the league.it's a sign of how far you have come that some of ours do. goodison would not have been the same if we had beaten fulham with 10 men. look at last season in the semi v liverpool, again moyes bottled it. even today where he takes off mirallas and puts on naismith -anyone could see anichebe was shattered. he stutters to results - the man is clueless.Neville Kneville said:shackattack said:for me personally today was typical of how everton and moyes are. no disrespect to city but i would sooner we beat wigan last week than any victory today. sadly today will just paper over the cracks again and most lads i sat with today would still like to see the back of moyes.cleavers said:And you're only 1 pope behind arsenal :)
I don't think most of us will see that as disrespect. We don't understand why you're treating us like the cup final, & the chance to play in the cup final doesn't raise it.
