Haaland Goal v Sparta - Fluke or Genius?

Well, did he mean it or was it just flukey. I'd like to think he meant what he was doing and Hoddle reckons he did as well.

Don't know how to add voting buttons, as that would probably help - bit like the Stones Goal thread.

Haaland knew exactly what he was doing, even if he just launched himself and hoped that he would actually connect with the ball .... he fully knew what his intentions were.

He's arguably the only player around in world football today who could have scored that goal.

Put it on for a rag relative and all he said is that he should have been carded for dangerous play, then went on to explain how football is a bit shit now and he doesn't support the rags and is thinking of watching Swedish football instead.

When I laughed at him my wife gave me the look, she's running out of family that comes round.

Just an ingenious bit of instinctive improvisation. The type that only certain players are physically capable of.

What else was he trying to do by swinging his legs 10ft in the air?

Did he mean to purposely aim it into the deck and have it bounce over the keeper? Probably not specifically that, but the aim was to connect and score, which he did, hence it's not a fluke.

It's like we like to have a laugh and say Rooney's shinner was a fluke but really it wasn't. the intent and the result was exactly as he planned, just the connection wasn't.

I don't understand how anyone could suggest it was a fluke.

What exactly do they think he was actually attempting to do if not put it in the back of the net via a flying back heel?

If she has brothers that are bigger than you, you might want to bear it in mind.

I said on another thread, i honestly think he wants to scores goals like nobody has ever done before.
With the leap hes got it was easy enough to jump and kind side foot/guide the ball goal wards and score.
But honestly i think he knew what he wanted to do, a karate kick back heal.

As some one said, probably not bounce it off the floor and in but to score but still score all the same.

Hes a freak. I look at him sometimes and think hes the worst, clumsiest footballer ive ever seen and then he does shit like that and i remember hes a fuckin genius of the likes we wont see again
