He won the world cup and he played in 7 games, scored 4 goals, got 1 assist, he scored in the world cup final and won the award for best young player. Wouldn't say that's average.

Same world cup as Mendy and Pogba? I wasn't calling the French team average anyway

16 goals in 39 games is average.. As is his 15 in 31 champs league games, Halaand already has more in 2 less seasons, 16 in 13 games.

16 goals in 39 games for France...10 of the games which he played when he was 17 years old? Also doesn't always play as main striker hence his 15 assists along with those 16 goals (31 in 39). Pretty impressive for his age really.

Champions league is the same, he's scored 21 in UCL, along with 17 assists (38 in 41), very strong. Still holds the record for the most goals scored by an under 21 player too.

Mbappes return is good when you add in the assists but he's a flat track that rarely shows up in the big games

This season - 0 goal involvements vs Man Untied or Leipzig instead 2 goals 3 assists vs Basaksehir

Last season 0 goals in the knockout stages(psg made it to the final) Again stat padded vs Club Brugge and Galatasary - 4goals 4assists

Then there's Halaand who has scored vs every opponent he has faced.

I think when push comes to shove we will be the third choice for Mbappe, the first being moving to Madrid ( his dream club ), PSG ( Already settled, high wages , He is french too) and then us ( Great young team and Pep).
Another deterrent would be his high wages and huge transfer fees ( Of what I read he already gets KDB/Pogba wages or more). He may want an increment on that.
With Haaland, the comparatively young age, the father's connection with City, his release clause, comparative less wages and City's decent relationship with BVB all work in our favor. We can also let go of the Sancho fees.
The signs point on our favor so hopefully we put all our effort on Haaland and let mbappe move to madrid or elsewhere.

Firstly, can’t believe Mbappe gets called average.

Quality player who would get in any team in world football.

That said unless things have changed it seems just a matter of time before he moves to Madrid, whilst Haaland’s next move strikes me as being the Premier League.

For me, blue spec’s off as much as I can. I see us as the team with the most chance of trophies for him, the best manager, the best players and a first team place for him.

With some players the name Liverpool or United will have more kudos applied to it, whilst this passes with every year and given the fact his Dad played for us (you would hope this is not an issue).

There is also the added issue with Haaland that he could well join one of our rivals if we do not get him, whereas Mbappe France or Spain is not such an issue.

For me I’d be all over Haaland, I don’t think there’s much chance of a deal being done on the quiet and all teams who are interested will wait until Mino advises, so anything in the paper I would take with a pinch of salt.

Don't get me wrong both are great players, and we would be incredibly lucky if we signed either one of them.

I just think you're being a bit harsh saying he's a flat-track bully.

He has had goals in the champions league against big teams. Utd, Liverpool, Madrid, Bayern, City, Juventus, Dortmund. Not to mention a great goal in the world cup final which practically sealed the game for them.

I personally just think Mbappe has more technique to his overall game, like his passing/creative ability and dribbling, which suits Peps philosophy. He's also used to playing in a team where everyone parks the bus against them.
