Haaland the great

Right?!

That's what I thought too! Burley was a clogger, like much of the players in his era, but because cloggers came up against cloggers, it made to 'harder to score', but he won't see that!!

Burley has always thought well of City or at least mainly talked well of us apart from the few anomalous remarks that is.

Newer doesn't mean better, if Savio played against Buzzer or Chopper Harris he wouldn't leave the dressing room.

I believe the original ESPN question was along the lines of "Is Haaland already the Best PL Striker of All-Time".
The panel then scoffs at the stats and go through all sorts of mental gymnastics to try to discount the claim. Surely pure strikers are judged by the amount of goals they get? He's not the best footballer but that wasn't the question.

They ask "would you have prime Henry or prime Haaland?" We don't know what Haalands prime is yet.
But based on the crude table below, at roughly the same age of 25 he's well ahead of all the considered English league greats. Only Greaves is in the same ballpark

Then they claim that it's easier to score nowadays and players have more space. I would argue that playing against the packed defences and low blocks, Haaland has less space and less touches than those from the 90s during the so called Golden Era of defending.

I get it's difficult and so subjective to compare era's but to argue that 20 players are comparable is just laughable. But Strikers stats are pretty definitive as far as outfield players go

Jimmy Greaves was the best I have seen till Shearer and now Haaland. But Haaland has just started.

Although I think assists stats aren't a good indicator of creativity

Haaland assists per game = 0.163 / game (PL only)
which is higher than Kane, Shearer, Van Nistelrooy, Wright, Owen and CR7
Aguero (0.171), Cole (0.176), Rooney (0.210), Drogba (0.235), Henry (0.287)

For someone who is an alleged 'tap in' merchant

'You read' lol
He has extended a contract with us until 2034!!
If someone would want to buy him 'in 2026' they'd literally have to pay half a billion mate.
Don't be daft enough to believe all you read ... and contract's aren't worth the paper they're written on, expecially to wealthy clubs with wealthy backers or owners !

Everybody was initially of the belief that it would take a massive fee to prize him from Dortmund, until we all found out it would take 51m .... now all the big clubs could probably have afforded to pay that, but what really tilted the deal in our favour was that Haaland actually WANTED to play for City!

Haaland is his own man and will only stay until 2034 if HE WANTS to ... but a lot can change between now and then, not least any effect (or devastation) that these PL charges could have on the club and its players should things go completely against us, and that decision surely can't be far away now.

But he doesn't track back and doesn't want the ball ? So few touches of the ball, why does he play

They all moan and hate him, but only 1 touch = goal, City win 1.0 that will do me
Laughable mate but the thick twats keep pushing that narrative.

Joe Hart rarely touched the ball but he'd always pull out a big save when called upon, which won us titles.

...unless it was low to his left ; )

For God's Sake City dont
Flirt with RM regarding any Deal Ever.
I Take the point he will decide his own
Future However.

Another hat-trick for Norway today.

Only 4 hat-tricks behind Messi and fake Ron's International world record.
But but the yellow ticket along the sky screen (out with mates otherwise wouldn’t bother) said HAALAAND MISSED PEN 6 MINS !!!!!! Then scored 3 , fk off Sky AND the rest of you
