Hadge Johnson RIP

A Great friend of mine from the Kippax days and also from going on away trips on the coach from Aytoun Street. Was a regular in the Hare and Hounds on match days.Only spoke with him at Palace game so has come as a big shock to me.Will miss you Hadge.RIP.

I posted earlier on the thread , It is Hadge I went to the same school as, same year but Hadge was a bright Lad and was in the Grammar Stream Class , I was as doomed to the Beano B Class !. He wasn’t defined as a hard nut , but he wouldn’t step back and was a handful in a scrap, and in those days-plenty went on behind the bike sheds so to speak ! . Last time I saw him would have been in the Windmill after I was d-mobbed , he was in the plumbing then . There was only about 4-5 of us put our hands up to be a City Fan in the whole School , the rest were Rags and a couple of Latics Fans .Im all to glad he did witness City at the Pinnacle of English and European Football !!
Back in school mid to late 60,s we use to cop the lot ! as you can well imagine !!
I’m 72 now so Hadge would be in the same bracket . So Sad about this loss ,
RIP Mate

I’m pretty sure that could well be Hadge who I went to school with in Failsworth , after we left I ended up in the Army I’m pretty sure he went into plumbing
Feck ,,,,,
Last time I spoke to Hadge was in GJB plumbing Oldham with Brian Taylor the owner, that has to be 14 years ago. I'd been having trouble with the outlaws after my wife had died, he was very supportive. He'd pop up now and again on Cheeseys after match vids.
