Half price Black Friday memberships

Not a bad offer. Reduces matchday membership from £35 to £17.50, junior membership from £20 to £10. Plus you get a £15 online shop voucher back so it pretty much pays for itself.

And no, I don’t work for the club! Just wanted to raise awareness :-)
Do we know if the discounts are applied on checkout because the link takes you to memberships at normal prices?? Thanks

I'm probably missing it somewhere in the small print, but discount seems as if it's only applying to one membership purchase. IE if buying both a matchday/cityzens AND a junior membership, only the matchday/cityzen gets discounted and not the junior.

Good deal nonetheless. Or have I fallen into the trap of accepting this shite as a good deal because it's cheaper than what it was, even though i still think it's shite that you need to buy a membership just for the opportunity to then buy an actual match ticket? This is how they get you =).

Has JRB been on to take credit for this yet?

Joking aside, this might be a bit of a game changer that will help to create demand for the expanded North Stand. That said, junior memberships shouldn’t be more than a tenner any time of the year.

Imagine popping into Tesco's and trying to buy a TV and they said that you have to buy a membership first before you can buy the TV, you'd just walk out.

People need to vote with their feet and not buy one.

I go to my local club and snooker is half price with a membership. I rember getting my play off final ticket vs Gillingham with my membership. It’s not a massive deal. The prices should be permanently reduced though

I go to a snooker hall in Manchester with no membership and it's as cheap as chips, you really are getting fuck all for your paid membership at City mate it's a scam.

Worst of all is that most of the tickets are unavailable anyway so you're paying for a possibility of not getting a ticket nobody else wants for a game that the regulars and tourists couldn't give a fuck about.

Not sure I agree with that comparison mate. Local snooker clubs will have very limited space and people looking to play the odd game or so a year would probably be able to go elsewhere locally without it making too much of a difference to them.

People getting to a football match to support the team they love should be as affordable as possible. It should be a privilege for the club to have people support them, not a privilege for supporters with higher financial means to support their team. Those like me who go once every so often having to fork 50 quid before even trying for a ticket is so poor, imo. Of course this pales in comparison to what's being expected financially and logistically of season ticket holders and people who've been going all their lives. I can moan about my situation here but it's those people I feel most sorry for in it all.
