I loved that chanting last night (last night!!! It feels like last week!) after the goal. The announcer came on and the whole crowd would chant something back, then he'd say something, then they'd shout back. They did the same at Aalborg.

I thought it was embarrassing, something Blackburn or Bolton would do. Hamburgs whole atmosphere was mechanical.

i agree, it too thought it was embarrassing - it was like something from an American football game. ra ra ra.

As a general rule - I think the music after the goals is a tad corney - it's cringe worthy watching Middlesbrough all clapping in time...... but, I thought it made for a crackin atmosphere on Thursday..... Their fans chanting in the left hand side corner (from where we were) to the Hamburg fans to our right hand side - and them retorting back was great to see.

Hope that Danny Wilson (or someone else from the club who works at the club) was watching what the German's do for the 'customer experiance'. It seems like they really look after their fans - places for the fans to meet up before hand - the BBQ's and pumping music - free train travel within the Hamburg district - how good was that!

That was outside the London pub, the best one was when some German bloke came in and we all started singing jurgen jurgen give us a song and he got up on the table and started singing the Irish rover and on the chorus we all came in with "And it's Manchester city, Manchester city FC and drowned him out.
