Hands Off Pep

The sports media of this country are currently running with the thoughts that Pep could leave City and go and manage a basket-case England team. Are they fucking crazy!

1 - No way would he want to be part of that crazed English media spotlight that would rather hate than praise. He doesnt like that scenario, he likes to do his work without all the soap opera, hence coming to City and not utd etc.

2 - The sports media of this country have hammered EVERYTHING he has done here. They hate him. He's changed the game forever and they refuse to celebrate it, in fact they're more like young children who have seen someone else come along, do things MUCH better, and they chose to ignore it all. And still do. They've literally acted like little Englanders... He wont be able to do it in the PL, he cant do Stoke on a cold night, etc.

3 - He's ours. And if not at the club he has managed most then he will be going to another country and complete his knowledge before going onto manage an int. team that has some class rather than relying on Maguires and whoever plays for utd that the media demand plays.

4 - He cannot manage a group of players that he only see's twice or so a year. Not to the same level.

5 - He's got business to finish with the PL. He has to strutt his stuff after the 115 verdict comes in. He's got some faces he needs to shove into the dirt.

6 - They wouldnt let him use the PEDs, he doesnt have the £illions which is the only way he wins things, he's not English ffs, he doesnt pick the black players, he doesnt have Messi or Kevin.

The FA can fuck off.

But whats the feeling here, would people be happy to see him manage England? Leave City to be able to do that? Do both jobs?
The PL's full title, registered in law is,

THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION PREMIER LEAGUE LIMITED

That organisation, (THE FA) is seeking to undermine, diminish and possibly destroy everything that Pep has striven to achieve in the last nine years. In fact, everything he has devoted his professional life to accomplish, could be tarnished for ever by the 115/130 debacle. The idea that the same organisation could along and offer him a job because they are so incompetent, despite St George's Park, the PL billions, the Wembley billions, they can not produce one single English candidate, is just beyond belief. That's unless they are prepared to drop all the charges, pay £115m compensation, approve all our rejected sponsorships and force the rags give Ten Haag a 15 year contract, they can do the following....

IF he didn't want to work at City and more I would love him as the England manager. But it would be really hard to accept because I'd just want him to remain with us!

For all the questions about him wanting/needing to work with players more regularly I think that's bollocks. Pep is the greatest. He'd do things that no other international manager does. He'd be putting so much time and effort into things that he'd fill the time no problem, and he'd work out the most effective way of getting the most out of training camps with his players. His approach would be beyond that of any other international managers, and he may even appreciate the increased down time he gets.

I don't think the timings work out though. I think he'd leave this summer but the fact one more year takes him to 10 I can see being too much of an incentive for him to stay, coupled with the fact there's barely any pre-season with the CWC and it's a pretty horrific time for any transition to new management.

The FA need someone to have a good run up to the WC and so they need someone this summer at the latest. Maybe after a disastrous WC the timings would work out for him and he can build from there.

Again, selfishly, I don't want his legacy at City to be shared with England as I'm certain he'd deliver success. I want him to be our hero and not shared with England fans!

Would he not here? Not won a bean in nearly 60 years? A country he enjoys working in, managing players he has either coached or is very familiar with through the premier league. I think England would appeal to him, not saying Brazil wouldn't but we can't dismiss it.
One issue the F.A.

Improved but still dinosaurs and interfering idiots, I would be amazed if he wanted to work with them but stranger things have happened, let's not forget he went and worked with the Bayern mafia.

Not a chance and another factor, ego, all the greats have it and Spain have already won the lot.

I don't think he will manage an international side full stop mate, in fact every season we seem to talk about him leaving us as much as the media do :)

Let's hope your right and despite his constant denials he goes on and beats the pisscans record of PL titles and years in the job.
