Hansen, Lawrensen and Shearer bring shame on the BBC

Not sure how this turned in to a debate over racism - for me the main point was about the sheer ineptitude and blatant bias of the BBC pundits. They make Carragher and Southgate look like Greek philosophers.

Not hard to figure out why it turned into a debate over racism.

It may well have started as a forum for the ineptitude and bias of the bbc pundits.however, the main examples of such were directed at a certain player.who happens to play for city..are you following this so far?

The next step eeze important.....some city fans have scratched their heads and done a little thinking..
after watching the inept displays of an unfit and well off the mark striker who was heralded as englands saviour, we wondered why he had,t attracted anything like as much of the bile and depth of bad feeling aimed at our striker....

One thing led to another really.

Prediction for this season.
By Jan Lineker will have signed up with BT for the next season,Hanson will have time to spend with king Kenny on the links,Shearer will be asking "give us a job"Lawrenson will be thinking "were did it all go wrong".
All I wish then is BBC" do not bring Harry in from the cold.

The reason Rooney was treated differently to Balotelli is of course grossly unfair, but saying that it comes down to the colour of Balotelli's skin is completely baseless. The fact of the matter is that the pundits on the BBC clearly dislike Mario for some reason, to claim that the reason is his race is just speculation. I have no love for these cretins and look forward to the day when they're condemned to the BBC scrapheap but I'm not sure this is a time to play the race card. Rooney was always going to get an easy ride in comparison with other players due to the very fact he plays for England and has been a darling of the rag-leaning media since he irritatingly arrived on the scene back in the day.

I have seen Hansen and Shearer spew forth their ill-judged, non-researched, jaundiced nonsense about any number of players and I totally agree with you on the disparity of treatment towards the 'White Pele' (snigger) and Super Mario. Unfortunately it's not just Mario, they snipe and moan about Torres incessantly, say Zlatan is shite until he scores a wonder goal and make lazy generalisations about teams (according to Martin Keown, the Spanish 'didn't want it' the other night - this is a team going for an unprecedented 3 major tournament wins in a row). I don't think they are racists, I do however think they are a bunch of self-important bores who are incredibly bad at their job (nice work on researching what Balotelli 'hasn't achieved' so far eh Shearer?)

I will just have to respectfully disagree with you on the race issue, no hard feelings, this is what the forum is for.

Martin Keown has the makings of a great pundit eventually to take over from those divots

Well done blues, it appears that the BBC have recognised the complaints and tried to make amends. Fair play to them and especially to Lineker for making the point to Hansen and Shearer.

He raped them, Shearer especially and his, (Shearer), stuttering for the last 5 minutes shows it. He actually said on talksport earlier that he was going to raise Shearer's criticism. Just a shame that Shearer chose to say 'no, he's not done anything at international level', when we all know that when he said 'what had he won', he meant in football in general.
Shearer, sir, you have just been 'owned', as the kids say.

Well done Linekar.
