Hantavirus

What pricked my ears up was it is has a 40% death toll! They’ll be working on a vaccine already I’d expect!

There are around 200 cases a year and it's existed for centuries. I don't think they'll bother with a vaccine. Just a case of trying to eat and drink things that aren't covered in rat piss/shit which shouldn't be a struggle to those of us in first world countries.

So it doesn’t pass on to humans to humans then

granted vast majority are rat to human transmission, This has human to human and apparently going by the WHO, and apparently no evidence of rats on the ship.

Apparently the America's strain of Hantavirus does have the occasional human to human transmission in very close contact.

my guess is this one will be a nothing burger unless some funky mutation has happened. the 1-8 week incubation period is gonna lead to some people from the ship having quite a long quarantine.

Remember that poster that used to post the covid stats, and would scream for lockdowns if there was as much as any tiny increases in cases.

A ship without rats.
Get outta here!

I’m currently in Tenerife until next Wednesday.
The ship docks on Sunday.
Luckily I’m in the southernmost part, as far away from the port as you can get.

Does this mean the return of Healdplace and his daily updates
It could be his/her chance to shine ,again
