Ha ha was 15 myself, what a day it was though, still have the programme and got it signed by Ian Brightwell
Nice! If you look on the back, the Mitre matchball was sponsored by Crossely's Fish?
Look at us now!

Crosselys fish were huge at the time, we were ahead of the game lolNice! If you look on the back, the Mitre matchball was sponsored by Crossely's Fish?

Was it the last derby we won until the last maine road 1?Ditto.
We were awful at Brentford, and every blue feared the worst for the next game...typical City.
Yes.Was it the last derby we won until the last maine road 1?
Also in the North stand,If you look closely in the aftermath of their goal, specifically when the camera pans in on Hughes, you'll see a smattering of rags that somehow survived the early cull.
I only know that because coming out slightly late for the second half me and my mate thought fuck it lets head down there loads of room. Within a minute the goal went in and we realised we were amongst the dregs.
Wasn't it Fergie's wallet?Machin’s Marvels v Fergie’s Flops
Yes, I had the T-Shirt
Gary Fleming had a stormer for us that day but so did everyone. He stood out as though as I cannot remember how he played in any of the other games he played for us.
Jeez, is it 33 years? That explains it then, could have swore Lakey scored our fourth, memory plays tricks. I’ll never forget Hinchcliffe’s fifth though, can’t fathom his apparent dislike for us with memories like that. Let’s hope we repeat it next week or go one better again. What a day. Can't believe its 33 years ago though. That 5th goal!..the utd hardmen struggling to get over the North stand fence . My wife at the time was from a rag family too and it was her brothers 21st party that night so you can imagine the tomfoolery I got up to...
We should have beat the bastards at castle greyskull later in the season as well.
Great refereeing from Neil Midgley - no over-reaction - took players off until errant rags were relocated and then got on with the game.I was in the Kippax that day. But must give a special mention to the blues in the North Stand for their invaluable contribution to that win!
Spoke to Neil's wife a few weeks ago about that game. She said fergie came into his office after the game claiming the 3rd goal was offside. He said ok Alex, call it 4-1 then. Brilliant!Great refereeing from Neil Midgley - no over-reaction - took players off until errant rags were relocated and then got on with the game.
Even scarier is my lad turned 15 a fortnight ago!!
So to recap, he has seen six Prem titles, six League Cups and two FA Cups.
In the same period, beating United 5-1 was about as good as it got until the Stoke Final in 2011.
I think it's fair to say the likes of our generation were more than owed this last decade!
