Happy Birthday Gio

None of them even come close although never saw enough of Best and that era of players. The others you memtioned are not even close.

Its not being generous watching a Kinkladze in full flight with his acceleration, low centre of gravity, balance and ball control was a phenomenal thing to view.

Those players you mentioned the vast majority were arguably better players but more exciting?? Van Basten - stop your wumming.
Believe me, I'm not wumming. Van Basten in full flow was a phenomenal player, and playing at a far higher level than we were at when we had Kinky in the side We're obviously never going to agree, however, so I'll leave you to your perception. Have a good evening.

Nothing wrong with a difference of opinions. Van Basten was from footage I have seen a truly great player and from a kids memory.

Of course it also depends on what you consider exciting. Some fans prefer the artistry of a Silva, Zidane, the tricks of a Ronaldinho, Jay Jay Okocha, or the close control, low centre of gravity of a Messi. Its a very personal thing.

One player we did not mention was Gheorghe Hagi. Another of the great entertainers.

Kinkladze was special. Different. Twisted and turned to great effect in midfield, lost his marker and whoever was marking him, it's just that he had those two cloggers to feed, Quinn and Rosler in front of him who between the pair of them could not hit a barn door.
