Happy Birthday Gio

On par with Scott Sinclair, a myth and wouldnt get in this side ( mind the likes of Fernando and Navas get in)some peoples views I just don't get, oh dear.

Some proper jokers on here Griff!

Happy Birthday Kinky!

Met him as a kid at the platt lane complex and still have the photo. Walked past him on Deansgate a couple of months back and will regret that for the rest of my days. Would have been nice to get an updated photo.

Still my favourite all time City player and the most exciting player I have ever watched live or on Tv.

Love watching the footage of his goal against West Ham in the cup and the crowd literally jumping out of their seats as ran full pelt at goal. That is the effect he had on you.

Organised a trip to meet him in Amsterdam whe he played for Ajax .great night out with him

Seriously?

Yes seriously. Who have you watched more exciting than him?

On a world stage I could only think of Messi, Ronaldinho, MAradona who hold a torch to him
"Hold a torch to him"? You are being extremely generous to him, comparing him to that calibre of player. He was a fantastic player, albeit in a sea of shite which exaggerated how good he was. But those players you mention are several notches up from him. You could also have mentioned Van Basten, Pele, a young (pre alcohol) George Best (yes, seriously), Gullit, Paolo Rossi, Gerd Muller, Gazza (again, pre alcohol); those just off the top of my head. As for City players; how about Bell, Silva, a young Peter Barnes (76/77 era), Summerbee, Yaya (13/14 season), a young SWP, Benarbia, Lee, Aguero?

And Buster Phillips

None of them even come close although never saw enough of Best and that era of players. The others you memtioned are not even close.

Its not being generous watching a Kinkladze in full flight with his acceleration, low centre of gravity, balance and ball control was a phenomenal thing to view.

Those players you mentioned the vast majority were arguably better players but more exciting?? Van Basten - stop your wumming.
