Happy clappers / losing mentality

Personally, I think it’s time we get new owners that understand English football, what it takes to build a successful club, and who will really connect with the fans on a deeper level.

Someone like the Glazers. Or Mike Ashley.
Evading the subject. I seriously doubt you'll find many blues who aren't completely stumped at how Pep could arrive at that starting line-up.

Where people differ is what to do about it. Do we accept this as part of Pep's make-up or is it the sign of a coach that is going to rapidly lose it with his players. I don't want to see Pep at City now. I don't trust a manager who cracks under pressure and comes up with some crazy plan. Keep it simple and we win that game easy.

The differences amongst City fans will not be in agreeing or disagreeing with the team selection but what it means in terms of Pep's place at City. It seems crazy on one level to demand he goes but we finish the season now with Pep 12 months from leaving and I think we have to resolve his long term commitment before we start again. I don't like him now, or trust him. I fear some of the players may feel like their own manager has lost the plot and that would be damaging.

Sam Allardyce football tatical genius was in the papers wasn't he saying he would drink wine from a normal glass for the chance to manage us. Get him in NOW. Give him this transfer window and a 10year contract. 100% international win record. We need to move fast

Is it time for the club to ditch some of our less successful fans in order to progress? It still seems there is a significant number of fans that think staying up, CL qualification year after year and 8 out of 12 domestic trophies, centurions and the quadruple is what success looks like. These are the sort of fans who think just finishing comfortably second, winning just one domestic cup and getting knocked out in the later stages of the CL is acceptable. Does this undermine the 'winning mentality' of our team and undermine our attempts to have legendary European nights in our quest to become 'European royalty''? Maybe we need to upgrade some of the older fans as well as get a decent manager?
Just come support Bayern or Liverpool next season. That’s what I’m gonna do, but I’ll stay registered with BM.....just in case City win things next season

I am the sort of fan who is just happy to go to the match, meet the lads, have a few beers and have a good day out. I have done that for over 50 years and 1000s of games home and away and although I want us to win I really couldn't give a fuck if we win or lose, because i don't support City because we are good, i don't support City because we are rubbish, i support City because its in my blood and my Grandad saw the King at Hyde Road and brought me up on stories about City good and bad. I treasure the bad as much as the good because its my club. If you want to ditch me because i am content when we get to 40 points or i am happy with a proper relegation battle then so be it, you could upgrade me for a glory hunter from Immingham who has just realised City used to have a ground called Maine Road and players who appeared in escape to victory because that will make fuck all difference to Ederson spilling a soft shot or Raheem missing an open goal.

Because the thing is when all the good things come to an end as they surely will, i will still be meeting my mates, having a few beers and going to City whilst the glory hunters will have moved onto to the next big thing whilst we back the lads in a scrap to get out of the Manchester Sunday league 4th divison.

Being a fan isnt about success, its about love, passion, its family on a grander scale, you love them, you hate them but you will never forsake them until the day that you die.
Without fans like you clubs and particularly City are nothing and our ground really would be the Emptyhad.

I've been pissed wet through on the North Stand at Maine Road, I've seen more two goal leads pissed up the wall than I've had cups of Bovril or meat 'n potato pies, I've seen top professionals make the most unbelievable mistakes that result in a concession, and I've seen some of the world's best strikers engineer the most glaring of misses. But nothing that happens on the pitch has ever been a deterrent to continued support of MCFC.

We know that. But what we don't understand is how one of the world's top coaches makes selections that no one else in football would make

For me I can only think this is some kind of ego trip or major fault in his thinking about the game that co-exists with genius. Genius is like that. You get people who are utterly brilliant in one regard or several and utterly useless in other aspects.

That cheered me up, many thanks
