Anything gets annoying if it's repeated endlessly over and over again by the same numpties year in year out.I just find it really weird that City fans slate other City fans for supporting/getting behind our team - even if it's blind optimism.
Support the team at the ground where its useful and against any other supporters trying to take the piss.
Coming on here and saying support your team ffs I remember when we were shit...... and other such bollocks just make someone seem like a dribbling needy idiot.

I think there’s too distinct camps of happy clappers.
There’s what I’d call the genuines. The sort who always look for the positives. Probably in life, aswell as football. The sort whose first reaction after a 4-0 defeat is… Oh well, could easy have being worse. If it wasn’t for our ‘keeper having a blinder, it would probably have been 8.
Then there’s the completely different animal. The ‘Super Fan’ happy clapper. Loves to make a big show of what a great fan he is. Prone to waving his arms around in times of adversity ‘encouraging’ other fans to join in his shit song. Whilst sporadically asking fans around him to “Sing up you fucking wankers” Probably gets home and gives the missus a few slaps after particularly annoying defeats.

A happy clapper is someone who will back the club and players regardless of performance and results, transfer business done or not done and so on.Genuine question. In some extreme cases of happy clapping, the happy clapper even wishes for city to keep getting beat so the ‘plastics’ fuck off and support someone else. Weird
Too many see them selves as the rule makers of what you can and cant say and quickly tell u to do one if you dare to moan or have an opinion that goes against the blind support and faith they have
