Happy Clappers

I am not a "happy clapper" but if you expect me to call out our manager, our team, our board then you are going to have a long fucking wait. It is a tough watch yes at the moment but the meltdowns I am seeing are simply pathetic bordering on being entitled.
They way I see it is this. There is a clear split in the dynamics of our fan base. You can deny it all you want but it is clear to see. Us older generation who were at Maine Road, seeing us lose week in week out with little expectation are now the ones saying that this is nothing to what is what like. We get criticised for harping on about the "good old days" or even mentioning "Maine Road" but that is the fucking reality of being an older blue. The younger generation have NEVER seen bad times and now we are in this run are questioning the whole dynamics of the manager, the team, the board etc etc. True expectations are high now with what has happened over the past 10 - 15 years but I am afraid some need to take a long hard look at themselves! Criticise where it is due. I have openly criticised certain players who I do not think are up to the job but I will never criticise my club simply because of the memories they have given me and my family.
2 yrs ago we won a fucking treble. Let me repeat that, a fucking treble! Both young and old celebrated together. All I see now is a lack of togetherness and open criticism towards the club, board etc.
Reality is expectation is a lot higher these days and correctly so we should not be playing so badly. The gaffer , the team need to look at themselves and try to turn it around as soon as possible but this may get worse before we start to turn a corner. My take on the current issue is simple. An ageing team and a lack of quality investment over the past 2 plus summers. Now I don't know the ins and out of how the board works or what constraints they have put on them but the team is lacking in certain areas.
I will continue however to go home and away and support my fucking team through the bad times and the good times. Any entitled twats who think we should simply win week in week out need to grow a pair, face the challenge and just realise football is not the be all and end all in life.
See you Sunday.
I was there in the dark days of the 80s and 90s and it was soul destroying see one of the country's top football clubs destroyed by Swales and his cronies, we became a joke and rightly so.

What we have witnessed in the last 15 years is incredible, the stuff of dreams, memories that I will remember until my last breath, BUT....

I don't ever want to go back to those dark times, NEVER and it's very easy to do so, just look across the road at the rags for evidence or Liverpool until Klopp rocked up.

Football has changed and we have changed we are an elite football club, built for success, built to win titles, don't forget that.

There is a big big difference mate. Our chairman, owner simply will not allow it to continue for 10 plus years.
Best run club in world football.

Someone that can't see the wood for the trees and can't accept criticism.

I can't stand them, fans like them are small time for me.

We are now an elite football club, we employ the best is class throughout the club from top to bottom, the ownership expect the best and the best efforts.

Nothing wrong with calling people out when they don't do their jobs to the best of their ability.
One of the problems at the moment is this. We rightly heap adulation on Pep and the team for their achievements, yet at the same time they are beyond reproach for things going wrong by a few posters. Some mitigating factors are in play but this current shit show on the pitch really shouldn't be happening.

With Ilkay and Rico in the midfield I think you are wrong :-)
We all knew that 1 injury to Rodri would be fatal and it is proving to be.

I would agree but there is a possible monkey on their back in a 115 shirt.

I genuinely worry that a reason we have not bought properly in the last few windows is 115.

I just hope "irrefutable evidence " is just that, because if it's not, we could well be in serious decline.

Possibly but that has never really bothered me as it didn't with the UEFA charges.
That is all white noise.

Not sure it is just noise to be honest, even if we are found 100% not guilty the intentions of the Yank clubs to derail us has worked.

To get back to our previous levels is going to cost an absolute fortune and need a lot of hard work, good judgement and luck.

Viana has a hell of a tough job on his hands and one that is a lot tougher than it should have been.

Well from all reports we have the money to do it.

I remember me and my Dad in a fight with City fans at Walsall when I called a player out for not doing his job. Someone took exception, then his mates did then we had the pleasure of the West Midlands police as ‘mediators’

The difference is I was talking to Jamie Pollock, who came over to take a throw-in and waved his hands to tell the fans to support, which I thought was a bit of a nerve

While not without reproach, I’d suggest our current team and management have a bit more credit in the bank. And I won’t ever scream at someone for not doing the job well enough as there are just so many factors that contribute. Mistakes can be learnt from. Lack of effort is a completely different matter and you reap what you sow if you don’t put a shift in.
