Happy Takeover Day! (7 years ago today)

Only 7 years? Come on we've been ruining football since 1913.

Jesting aside can still remember the day I walked into work after it was announced and someone said to me "well, we have 'istorrry, somehting you'll never have"

One last thing.

With the transfer window open, KDB signed.

It's quiet, too quiet.

Happy Takeover day !!

I remember being bewildered at first, getting excited, then the typical blue in me kicked in with that little voice telling me 'its way to good to be true you daft twat'...

Amazing times, we are the luckiest fans in the world, watching the current implosion in Salford makes me appreciate our owner and his staff even more.

If I could sum up the way it makes me feel in one gif...

Don't overdo it now ;-)

GDM, that last line gave me goosebumps. I was just thinking about how much pleasure this club has given me over the last 7 incredible, unforgettable years. We have been party to the most suvcessful period in the club's history.

And our momemtum now is palpable. In another seven years where will be be?
It's incredible when you think back to the moments of high drama, DD.

Not just the big wins and titles, but also things like Tevez in Munich and Hughes' sacking. It's been such a colourful time. There's never been a dull moment following City, apart from the Pearce era, obviously, but these last few years have been something else. Maybe the stage is the same, but with much better actors.

And we've all shared it together. Blues bicker, City fans always have and always will, but what a thing to live through with people that you share a common love and interest with. We're so blessed to have been touched with good fortune in this way. It's been an absolute privilege to experience and share the ride with fellow blues, it really has.

Loved pretty much every moment.

It's hard believe it's seven years. Since then I've moved county, become a grandad, watched my lad leave school, leave college and move away to the other end of the country and then back home again, seen the banner come down at the swamp, watched us win the title twice and seen the rag fans behaving like a bad 80s tribute band(Sneers to tears).
It really is an amazing time to be a blue.
