Bear with me on this - I have a mate who has a Renault Espace ( some will know where this is going ) where the electronic handbrake has failed. Its an old car but a good one and more importantly was bought off the Motability scheme as it was a car they got for his son through that. His wife is very attached.
The electronic hand brake failed and the Renault dealers wanted daft money to fix. Then he was able to source a salvaged unit but the dealers not interested in fitting. He has finally found a localish garage who say if he gets the part they can send it for checking and refurb is needed for £110 to a guy in Southport and they will do the job for @ £300 all in. Told him to go for it.
Just watching the Shipman movie and realised I forgot ..... Shipman drove an Espace.
