Harrow town centre for Wembley anyone?

Only 2.2 miles from wembley and 5 mins (couple of quid) on the tube to Wembley sation.

Ive stayed round here for work before and it's not a bad little town with a some good boozers where the beer isnt a rip off! A few hotels still up for grabs in the town centre. We're staying here Saturday night.

Would be good to have a load of us here pre and post match.

We're staying in Harrow before and after the game. Are the tubes reasonably straight forward - or is it just as easy to jump in a cab?

Piece of piss. Harrow on the hill tube station is in the town centre and is around 2 stops away from wembley.
I wouldn't chance a Taxi as the traffic would be shit.

Tube there and back for us. Only takes 5 minutes.

Thanks chaps - just had a map of the London Underground up and it does seem really easy. Metropolitan Line - that will come in handy when we are trying to find the right line after the game when it will be packed with celebrating Blues!

On the website it says £4.00 single for adults and the journey takes 4 minutes ... simples.

Did it today....took well under 10 minutes to get from Harrow on the Hill to Wembley Park.
It's the stop after Harrow on the Hill if you're on the fast train into Baker Street. From Baker street it takes about 15 mins to Wembley, so it's not exactly ages from that direction either and Baker Street's pretty central.

If there isn't weekend maintenance, this line has been subjected to this for about 18 months now, so don't rely on the tube working.

That's exactly what i did for the 1974 League Cup final , when we played Wolves .....

supped beer in Harrow , caught the tube to Wembley , and watched the game with 50 other City fans in the Wolves end!

in 99 got service train down to london , got off at harrow , first pub was a weatherspoons, few scoops then got local train into wembley

I don't think they are that stupid to close a main line into wembley, whilst potentially carrying 10's of thousands of people on a semi final and marathon day.

They can't expect to shut half the roads in London for runners and shut the metropolitan line, it would be logistical suicide?
