Don't act like this wasn't your second choice. Kane will do, Haaland would have been preferable.

Kane is world class and arguably one of the top 3 pure 9’s in the world. I’m not in the least bit ambivalent about his signing. I also think A LOT of the ambivalence on this forum is because Haaland exists. That’s a bit childish in my eyes. They’re both world class. My preference is irrelevant as I’m not doing the buying. But I can enjoy Kane and certainly don’t need to put on an act. Unlike a few on here.

Makes a whole lot of sense. I remember it being a big deal that Pep wanted the majority of our best 11 being English when he first signed on. Finally got his wish and done it properly.

Why the hell are people like broken records with this questioning...The answer is so painfully obvious.

Why on earth would any city fan not be arsed about how we spend our finite resources, unless you swallow what you read and believe because we have billionaire owners and we can spend anywthing we want. IF its 160 mil thats just stupid money and we could have spent it much more wisely for me. Honestly i believe that if that figure holds up we will deserve the ridicule we will most certainly get.

Anyhow it obviously isnt...hopefully...surely...no way.

How could we spend it more wisely? Buying some cheaper players not as good then being back to square one when we still keep missing chances? Or buying someone in a position we‘re already sorted for and going into the season with no top class striker?

Or we could buy one of the best available strikers in world football that seems interested in playing for us - I don’t see that as a waste!

I‘m absolutely certain those at the club making these decisions have looked at the finances of this and won’t be suddenly surprised by an unexpected bill they can’t afford.

If Khaldoon is happy to spend £160m on a world class player to hugely improve the team in a position we’ve been substandard in then that‘ll do me!
