Harry Kane

Please clarify exactly why City cannot afford Grealish and Kane at the same time.

45m in sales this year and more fringe players to go, so the pot is gaining.

In addition Chelsea spent 222m last season with just over 50m incoming, so pretty much where City would be at the current figures, but City can’t spend, so why?

Funny listening to the united and Liverpool fans today saying Kane must be off to united because we can't afford him. Liverpool fans in particular are revelling in how stupid we are for prioritising a midfielder instead of replacing Aguero.

I swear they're all going to be in a right strop when we get both and I'm going to make it even worse by telling them it's their fault for believing everything they read.

I always wonder if other players watch transfers like this and take it into account in the future?

One things for sure, I’m not even a professional footballer but I’ll never be accepting a gentleman’s agreement ever again.

Bad move from Kane's team imo. This is still going to end up with him being unable to move to us because we won't pay £150m, only now half the Spurs crowd will hate him because he's tried to force his way out. Nobody made him sign a 6-year deal.
He probably signed it because Levy gave him assurances on where Spuds were going then he sacks Poch and brings in the eye gouger. Anyone would be pissed off after promises had been made and then broken.

I think this is a little creative, I don't see how we can count the Otta money coming in and then ignore the Dias and Ake signings being made as they were in the same window.
Except that, in accounting terms, signings are amortised over the life of the contract so assuming they signed 5 year deals (I can't remember if that's true or not) then divide their fees by 5 for the hit on this years accounts.
