We agree. The deal will collapse. Both sides are too far apart.
Of course now there are greater financial threats to Spurs but I am certain that the business plan does not require us to sell Kane or play in the Champions League. Nor do I think we are completely shit. I am sure the new manager is telling Levy we have a better than a puncher's chance of the making the top four.
My man ;)Surely you could go and be this fucking boring with your own kind?
No. Fuck them.I do have some sympathy for Spurs fans. Things have been a bit bleak these past 18 months and the second things start to look ok again this happens.
I mean I'm happy because we're benefiting, but I can empathise with them.
Hated the cockney cunts for 40 years, fuck ‘em!I do have some sympathy for Spurs fans. Things have been a bit bleak these past 18 months and the second things start to look ok again this happens.

I think you are in a very small minority group there mate. Hated them since the 81 Final for the way they behaved after the game. F**K 'em.I do have some sympathy for Spurs fans. Things have been a bit bleak these past 18 months and the second things start to look ok again this happens.

Real and Barca can’t afford him, Bayern still have Lewandowski scoring 40-50 goals a season, PSG are in a poor league, Chelsea will have lukaku, United have bad blood with his dad and Juventus can’t afford him. Now in 12 months time when his buyout clause kicks in that will change the landscape completely, if we don’t buy Kane before then we would be in pole position.I don't think there's much chance of us ever signing Erling Haaland.
If we want him, we'll have to offer him something more lucrative than any other club is able to. We'll have to beat the contract offer and promises of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, PSG, Chelsea, Manchester United and Juventus. Probably not all of them will be in the race but at least three or four as well as us.
Most of those will be willing to pay him something utterly absurd to get him to sign. I'm thinking in the realm of £400k a week plus big bonuses and a sign-on fee, then there's the agent fee that will presumably be in the realm of £30m like it reportedly was for Pogba. There's also a good chance he'll want a whole lot more in terms of perks and assurances, which isn't really our style.
When it comes down to it our club doesn't go to those ridiculous lengths to sign a player. Barca and Real do it at the drop of a fucking hat. It's a shame that we'll likely miss out on Haaland because of this policy but it's also the reason we're in good shape and half the clubs mentioned above are drowning in debt.
Kane by comparison seems attainable. We can probably pay him around the same wages that we're currently paying Sterling and KDB, which I think is fair for a player of his pedigree, and we don't have to worry about another top club coming in and smashing what we're willing to pay. By the time Kane is starting to decline in 4-5 seasons there'll be more great young strikers to look at.
