Of course people have the right to prefer other forwards to Kane. I think the reason so many are against him is because they prefer Haaland. It’s certainly an embarrassment of riches that some of our fans can look at Kane and still have a different preference for the striker we should sign. You are correct that Kane would probably contribute a lot to any team he moved to. Doesn’t mean he needs to be everyone’s first choice, considering there are many factors involved. The fact “winning” is something so far removed from his brand certainly doesn’t help
But there have been posts where some have wished him to United or said he’s not good enough which is nonsense.
Also, if ‘winning’ was the main criteria for us signing a player then we would never have signed Aguero, Silva, Kompany, Zabaleta, Sterling and De Bruyne.
In fact, David Silva is the prime comparison. Was never going to compete for the major prizes at Valencia due to Madrid and Barca. But put him in a side with great players, like the Spanish national team, and he’ll win trophies.
Finally, I don’t see the relevance in the previously winning a trophy argument. Would a possible Carabao Cup win really change people’s opinion of Kane?
Surely, the only thing that matters is whether a player will improve the team. As it stands Kane certainly would do that.
