Harry Kane

Huge backtrack that. We all know Spurs were kept out of the loop and the no show was a deliberate tactic of his brother to try and force Spurs' hand. Instead it's just made Levy more stubborn and Kane look like a bellend so he's backtracked. And to me that shows that he doesn't want to burn bridges with Spurs, precisely because he realises the move is increasingly unlikely.

So how exactly have people come to the conclusion that Harry Kane has "bottled" it?
Some people on here are unreal, What do you want him to say "I am officially on strike and want to join Manchester City"?
It's more of a statement to the fans that have got on his back for not training, He has mentioned nothing about staying at Tottenham ffs
Pep has had his say just a couple of hours ago, All of a sudden Kane has a statement, Use your heads people.

“I will never do anything to jeopardise my relationship with you, the fans”

hmmmm, sounds an odd thing to say if you want to leave the club.
Of course it’s not odd, he wants to leave , and he want’s the fans not to let Levy heap all the blame on him. The statement means nothing regards whether he leaves or he doesn’t.

It looks like a transfer is unlikely, and I think Kane knows that and is keen to repair his relationship with the Spurs fans.

All I know is that "reliable sources" have said he missed training, that he was never due back in training, that he was still on holiday, that he was having to self-isolate. This statement makes everything even clearer. I've got to say, I much preferred how both Villa and Grealish went about their business - much more professional.

It is funny how he's not mentioned anything all week, the moment Messi gets mentioned in a conference he comes out with a statement. He definitely wants to keep Spurs fans on side incase the transfer doesn't happen.
but pep also said we're in for Kane though. thats literally the first time he does that
