Harry Kane

Wasnt aware he was injured mate to be honest. I just think we need a traditional and powerful number 9 type of forward? Kane, Vlahovic and even Jovic to a point that are excellent finishers but powerful as well?
I am sure he had an ankle op.

Agree on a no9, Felix is more a 10 for me, too similar to Grealish?

Atletico Madrid will begin their La Liga title defence without creative star Joao Felix.

Felix played a significant role in Atleti‘s success of last season, but he will not be available for Diego Simeone at the start of the coming campaign.

The Portuguese midfielder played with significant pain in his ankle at Euro 2020 and subsequently decided to undergo an operation to remove the aggravation.

The operation was carried out by Dutch specialist Cornelis Nicolaas Van Dijk and all went to plan, but according to Diario AS, Felix’s return date is not set to be until September.

We are not involved in a personal battle with Levy. Our aim is not to show him up as the original and definitive bald fraud, nor is it to rub his nose in "it" and "show him who's boss". We are trying to buy the captain of England, the best striker in the country, one of the best in the world, THE player Pep wants and a player who has shown we are the only club he wants to play for. It's hardly surprising Spurs want top dollar for such a player and that would be the case even if Mr Softy were handling the negotiations at their end. Our negotiators are very experienced and fortunately very patient and do not let personalities cloud the real issues so I am quit prepared to accept that negotiations continue and that they continue confidentially. It may be that all has been agreed and we are waiting for Spurs to finalise their own deal(s) or a price for Kane has been agreed but details about up front cash and addons are to be finalised. What is certain is that we will never tell Levy to "do one" though we may end negotiations if we can't get a deal we're happy with. Then we may stick with what we've got because Pep may think Jesus is better than any alternative OR we may have a rerun of the Dias transfer where we sign a player we haven't even considered. But I trust our club and feel Kane will soon be a City player. At the moment there's no need for panic.
I wouldn't consider it as a problem if we aren't scheduled to play such opponents in first few games. Although it is start of the season, I doubt we'll have margin for error like last season. My trust for City's scouts and analysts is huge, but I'm sincerely scared how would players react psychologically with the bust of Kane/other forward deal.

Gabby plays second fiddle and then some people expect him to come on and be firing on all cylinders.
Take Sergio, in the past he’d get injured and then it’d take him 3-4 games to even get his sharpness back.
Same with Kane, he can have a few bad games and he plays the next week and the next week till he gets his form back.
Gabby doesn’t get that luxury or even the time/chance to play his way into form.

Although I agree with much of what you have written, when Gabby has had a good run, he hasn’t produced the goals. I appreciate the hard work he puts in but sometimes players don’t kick on as expected. He isn’t a kid anymore and should be coming into his prime. I don’t think he will ever be the ruthless striker we need.
