If reports are true that the monetary divide is around 50 million, that's pretty far apart. From what we have heard in the media, Levy values at 150 million - minimally. We value him at around 100. So, if that is the case, then why would the club pay more than we feel he is worth? We walked away from Koulibaly for the same reason. Other clubs in the PL feel that with the money City has, we can pay a premium for any player we want. So they bump up the price.

Whether we feel we need Kane and our belief that the club should pay no matter what isn't really relevant. Its the Clubs valuation of Kane. And from all reports - at least up to yesterday - the Club values him differently than Spurs.

Now my opinion would be - don't raise the offer. Do we need a striker? Yes. Would Kane be a good fit? Yeah probably. Should we pay what Spurs are asking? Most definitely - no. I would think we should expect something to happen by Friday. They have Watford on Sunday. There's no reason Kane shouldn't start in that game.

If reports are true. They probably aren’t though. If we didn’t think it was worth carrying on talking we wouldn’t carry on talking. The fact we are means we think we can get it done, if we can’t we can’t. I think we probably will. At what price I really couldn’t care less.

It’s a completely false analogy. If KDB had been playing as well as he has over the last 4 seasons and we had finished 7th, 6th, 4th and 3rd whilst winning the square root of FA, I’d be entirely sympathetic if he wanted to leave.
Thing is, over the same timespan, he’s won 3 PL’s, 4LC’s and 1 FA Cup and, in that scenario, I wouldn’t.

Yep. Same as Bernado wants to leave but we're in a position where we want him to stay but him leaving doesn't mean we're left without our best player. It's all context and why I hope if he does leave we give him a once a blue always a blue send off before he does.

I get any teams supporters being upset if a Kane or Grealish goes. But like I said in another thread, you don't get that same hate when they go to Liverpool or Utd.

let’s say you can have one of these sign for City right now. Who would you choose and why?

For me I would have Lewandowski.

Now we have finally gone down the rabbit hole thread wise I shall answer 3 ways.

1. If the option is only one of them then I would still go for Kane.
2. If we are buying as many as we like, then I would buy the fake ronaldo and Lewandowski for half the price, but only on the proviso we already had concrete confidence that Haaland for £75M was on next summer to replace these fossils as we ship them off to NYCFC
3. If we had no guarentees of anything to replace these two next summe wise and kane isn't a goer then I would buy Vlahovic.


So all in all it's Kane or Vlahovic for me the ronaldo/lewandowski fantasy is just that as we don't seem interested in either.

That's fair enough mate, I tend to defend the team more on post match when there's overreactions galore. No need for me to sit and defend myself and no reason for you to sit and trawl through my posts so agree to disagree on this one!
