a. I used "In many cases" for a reason. In Kane's case that point is irrelevant.A) he did an interview on sky sports which pretty formal expressed his desire to leave
B) if this is written into his contract yes but there would probably be an argument to say that he would lose loyalty bonuses due to doing an interview saying he wants to leave to win trophies
b. I'm not sure exactly why, but that isn't how it works. Formal transfer requests forgo loyalty bonuses but general public statements, generally, don't.
