Harry Kane

Same with Christian Romero mate, £50m, but loan with obligation to buy. They're trying for Lautaro Martinez still, got Bryan Gil for £20m. Want another midfielder and will likely get another centre half in either Zouma, Tomiyasu or someone for £25m odd. Paratici at helm is making it all look like they've done nothing but these are clever deals from their end to make it seem they've not got money at all, no one would make these deals if they don't expect money coming in.

Edit, add another €30m for the midfielder in McKennie from Juventus. You can't tell me they're making all these deals with Alderweireld worth £10m as their only notable sale for the window, in their financial position.
They will be exchanging ndombele with McKennie. Zouma and Martinez are speculations. I doubt they will get the deal done. Martinez could alone cost around 70-90M.

I think your first bit is right about Kane, I don't think the second bit is, as we never seem to comment on transfers? Which is good by the way, But I could well be wrong ;-)
We don't comment on transfers, we do comment if we want to distance ourselves. We let certain journalists know when we aren't interested in somebody. Think if it was dead we would let it be known we were out.

No I’m not joking because this isn’t fucking FIFA. Players and most certainly their agents understand that transfers have a budget (x) which is made up as:

x = transfer fee plus signing on fee plus wages

Now understand that ‘x’ doesn’t give a fuck what’s happening on the other side of that equals sign, just so long as the figure is what the club is willing to spend.

So yes I’d tell him to mind his own fucking business. If a players has a market transfer value of £150m and one signs him on a free, he will end up pocketing the vast majority of that £150m through wages and/or signing on fee (would depend on how the buying club ants it to be accounted as). Same with Haaland if it was a £65m fee rather than £150m that he’d be worth without the clause.

You may well not be able to grasp the high level maths above but KDB certainly would.
David De Gea apparently couldn't understand the high level maths around the Alexis Sanchez transfer :)

ps. I agree that De Bruyne would "understand", but I bet he'd also be happy to argue that he could have let his contract run down and got a similar deal. Sterling is probably a better comparison, because he's about to make the decision about wages/contract and letting his own contract run down.

we got 4m less than the winners, chelsea may add another 30m in sponsor bonuses, so how does that pay for ronaldo,it doesnt,is the answer, same as shirt sales, made up bollox so things sit easier in our minds.
I know shirt sales benefit the kit manufacturer and not us.

£34m will cover his transfer fee and then some.

what’s it worth in memories ?
