Unfortunately Kane and his (Agent) Brother only have themselves to blame. Kane signed a 6 year contract without inserting a buy out clause.

As for the Gentlemen's agreement, we're talking about Daniel Levy, and his mate Johnny Ball, think of a ridiculous transfer figure and stick to it.

Not sure why this has been going on so long, did the club think that they would fold? Were they giving spuds a chance to get replacements lined up that never materialised?

All we can hope for is the club has been prepared and have a plan considering it was always a risky transfer to complete. Unfortunately the striker market is pretty bare so dont see a "Dias" type signing from nowhere unless the scouts have been working overtime.

Feels like another Messi contract situation where we have relied on an "agreement" between club and player to allow them to leave, which the clubs havent honoured.

Not overly disappointed he’s staying but bizzare that he’s come out with that statement at this point, we’ll and truly burnt the transfer...must have been briefed by City that we won’t be meeting levy’s fee.
