I'd love it as a statement of intent if we chose Delap to play the striker role.. He's just signed a new deal and can surely step up? That would shut the media up for at least 2 minutes...

I don't think we'll have a "regular" starter. Instead, I think the 3 I mentioned (maybe others incl Jesus) will be tested out and see who can play best there for the team, or if one is a better option depending on opposition.

In a strange way I think we have swerved a big issue with Kane.

if they offered him to us next season I wouldn't pay no more than £50 mil so why pay over the top now.

The Spurs fans I saw at our match were slagging Kane off and singing a tasteful song about his brother Charlie beiing a "Batty Boy." However personally I am relieved. Spending £150m on Kane would have been a mistake. Brilliant though he has been in the past he is injury prone and it could have been a poor signing. The only mistake we made was to be wound up by Levy. He can't be trusted in any negotiations and we just wasted our time. We need to move on.

I think maybe City walked away from this first and both harry and spuds are trying to save face with the statements. If City wanted it to happen it would of lasted till deadline day as per most spuds big transfer exits. Think City have moved onto a new target
