Harry Kane

Huh.

Current Goss is that Vlahovic turned Tottenham down. He'd already been rumoured to only want a CL team.

One reading of that is that City, Kane, and Levy might actually have wanted this but not been able to make it work. And that it was mostly Levy's last minute approach to securing a replacement which seems to have backfired.

But like I said, I already heard some time ago that Vlahovic was stipulating CL as a requirement for his transfer. I think Levy wanted him, thought he could get him. I remember Tottenham's crazy manager search ending up at Gattuso, who promptly left Fiorentina, then 'turned down' Tottenham. God knows what lengths Levy and others went to to get Vlahovic to Spurs. But it looks dead. And so, therefore, is Kane.

Seriously tho. There's so much shenanigans going on in this transfer window. We know Mendes is big pals with our lot and of course Nuno/Spurs. He would surely have been involved in lining up Vlahovic as a replacement.

Now maybe he'll pull a rabbit out of the hat. In fact (crazy talk alert) maybe this was a contingency that he was happy with.

It gives Nuno a great chance at a big season with Spurs - and taking Ronaldo to City fucks about with PSG, Real and therefore, Raiola. Who so far have come out heavily on top this window.

Cant blame Levy, if he doesn’t want to sell then you ask for enough to make you want to. If he really told Kane he would let him leave I doubt they talked about for how much. Either way I doubt they will see the best from him this season and he will be off somewhere next summer.

We signed RSC and Jovetic city don’t do medicals
I think people have the wrong idea what a medical is for......Now to be clear I'm not defending the signing of especially RSC, but the role of the medical is to make sure there aren't any undeclared medical conditions, so in the case of RSC the fact he was about to have surgery when he signed was known. I always bring up the example of Asa Hartford who failed his medical at Leeds, but passed the medical at City a couple of years later with the same problem because it was a known condition.

I do think it's plausible that this is the case. It's what happened with Sanchez back in 2017, when Arsenal bid 90m for Lemar at the last minute and he told them he wasn't interested in moving to a side not in the CL.

Didn't we also sign Gundogan while he was about to have a surgery or was not yet fit or something like that?
