Harry Kane

Phil.
You are inherently implying that a Manager or Coaching staff's role includes no 'motivational' element???
Your view on the 'professionalism' aspect is a bit of an over simplification, don't you think?

We all have emotions that can't just be managed with huge amounts of cash. With the best intent in the world, if my best mate shagged my GF (without my consent I should add) and then offered me an obscene amount of money to forget it, I don't think we could carry on as if nothing had happened.
No, I’m implying that it’s drilled into players long before they sign professional terms that it’s an industry which could see you travel the length and breadth of the country depending on wherever a club wants your services or not.
They are richly rewarded for this and for a career like Kane’s where you’ll be retired in your 30s to live out the rest of your life doing whatever you want I don’t accept throwing your toys out of the pram.
Hope that clears it up.

I can tell you that Bernardo was so badly impacted by the racism accusation that the club thought he was mentally done, he was so crestfallen by it.

Emotions certainly can come in to the equation when it impacts on-field performance.
I’d say that’s a lot more justified than a transfer falling through tbf.
I’ve had many dealings with many players over the years and to a man they accept that transfers sometimes kick them in the bollocks.

It is still a somewhat relevant reference point to someone's mental state impacting their form on the pitch.

We still don't know how much Kane was invested/lied too.

He's clearly allowed his mind to come around to the prospect he was joining City, also to reconcile leaving a club he loves, with a young family also to factor in moving.

There is an argument that he isn't the only England player from the summer who has been struggling this season, which is probably closer to the truth in terms of his physical performances.

Kane had never attempted to move before, so it was a big situation for him.

I'm still of an opinion that if we can get him for less than £85m notes in January, Pep would sanction it again, and he would be successful.

If I'm Harry Kane watching City wipe the floor with Chelsea, Liverpool and United, my ire would be mounting with each passing week!

The press aided by the likes of Andy Hinchcliffe really did succeed with Bernardo….continuing the agenda and the undermining of the club with negative publicity.
They came close to destroying him.

It's unfortunate for Kane (either poor form alone or poor form as a result of a big disappointment).

But whatever we are planning without Kane is what I hope we are laser focused on.

Kane is yesterday's news (I hope) just like many before him. (Mahrez aside)

And you think the club would sanction the same wage that was agreed with his Agent?
I hope you are wrong and we have learnt our lesson.

Failed transfer to the champions,
Lied to by the guy you have known since you’ve been at Spurs as a kid
lost a euros final in your home country as Captain
28 years old still not won a trophy
zero champions league football

Im guessing he feels like utter shit right now Harry Kane. He even valued himself in that overlap interview.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see him wind up in Paris next summer when Mbappe leaves.

I think the level of the league would benefit him allow him a chance to win trophies and compete in the CL every year.

As well as play alongside Messi and Neymar
