Ahhh that old chestnut. Yes. We’ve changed. It happens. Success is a funny thing especially when you come from where we come from. You see people like you used to feel an “affinity” with us because we were unthreatening failures. Now we’re better than you and you don’t like it. It is not really true to say that I don't like City.

In fact, your windfall disrupted the old top 4 and allowed Spurs in too (on occasions) and that was very helpful to us.

It is true, I did like that you were terrible but there was a loyal fanbase despite that. It is the same feeling I have for Pompey now. In particular, I remember watching us lose 2-0 to you in Jan 1986 (I looked it up). It remains the worst game of football I have ever seen but has a special place in my heart. Also my childhood friend was a City fan which was rare in the deep South. And finally my father had a rather odd and crashing unsuccessful business deal with Mike Summerbee and occasionally i would meet him and he would always mention City within the first minute.

Now it feels like there is a section of the fanbase who want to belittle the less fortunate. That is less appealing.

Do I care about you buying our players? No. I am long passed worrying about footballers. Maybe that is where we are different. I don't think it matters at all.

As for joining your sex club. It is not really my thing. I'd rather have a cup of tea.

A, I don’t think Kane is a great player. Just my opinion.

B, We as a club seem to have gone to great lengths not to just go out and sign ready made off the peg players. Especially ones with little room to improve.

C, I agree, not remotely interested in the press. But as a club we do seem to have tried to conduct ourselves under the radar as much as possible. This all seems different. We seem to be acting without our normal precision and discreet mantra.
To me, it seems our business is being conducted by a 12 year on a games console.

Neither player is for me. If we didn’t have both Foden & Sterling I’d get Grealish. But he’s simply not in their league.

Kane, I really don’t get. It seems totally different to any transfer under ADUG, a traditional no.9 doesn’t seem to suit. And other than Lewondowski, Pep has never seemed interested in that type of forward.

There’s just something that seems totally different about this signing. I don’t think anyone involved is handling it well.

How did having another club above you make it easier for you to get into the top 4?

For good reason if it became commonplace, for example Sterling could buy out his contract in the January window possibly for as little as £20m, that's a sizeable loss for City on his transfer value.

Very high. Kane is said to be unprepared to speak to Levy directly that’s how bitter things have become between them. I said it’d happen in the week between the charity shield and the Spurs game and I still think that.

Let’s see if anything changes when Harry finally ends his summer holiday!

I don't think it takes any fee into account. Say we pay 100m for Grealish paying him 20m a year. If he has 2 years remaining, it'll only cost 40m to buy out your contract.
Obviously even less for players on lower wages.

Clubs wouldn't want their own players to do it, so they are unlikely to encourage it for players of other clubs.
